Met up with friends for a couple of days so lots of chatting,. tea and coffee. (and of course CAKE)

Had a cycle into Bridlington for coffee and a look around. Then more chatting. A good couple of days.

Bus into town for a walkabout spotted a lovely jelly dog, had a coffee and cake bus back.

A lovely poem by the locks.

After lunch 1 1/2 hour cycle along the towpath again a fab route through lovely country side and our usual walk in the evening at Poolsbrook country Park.

A coffee at Chatsworth house before we left for Chesterfield good drive up Shopping arrived at1330.

Bus into town made a mistake catching the 80 bus it went round the houses Ugh.  A good walk about although very run down town.

Had a look round the church coffee then back on a 74 BUs a lot better.

In the afternoon a cycle along the canal towpath for a coffee and an evening walk.

Walk up Winnets pass to the Speedwell Cavern and back below is a picture of Darian.

Good drive up 30 mins to Chatsworth. A short walk to the coffee shop at Chatsworth house.

Cycle this morning to Chatsworth Garden centre then up to the village. An afternoon walk again.

Drove down into Buxton for a couple of hours walkabout coffee in Coffee #1 for a change (what a terrible experience). Drove over to Castleton good drive.

Had a look round the visitor center and museum.

A walk into town.

Cycle this morning up Whinnats Pass WOW not to far must be getting old. Into town this afternoon.

Drove into Buxton again parking only £5 40 for 4 hours, Coffee and a walkabout.

Drove down to Leek for shopping ready for moving and a walkabout a nice relax in the afternoon then an evening walk Maureen got to the top of the tower FAB.

Had a coffee in Chester Designer Outlet before leaving the second rubbish coffee here 1 Starbucks and 1 Costa. Picture taken outside campsite. Good journey up rain so a dirty van WOW soon be black.

Drove down into Buxton parked up and spent some time walkabouts in the afternoon a relax and a walk up to Solomens Temple.

Drive down to Leek a good drive had a look round the Flee Market and did some shopping then up to town for a coffee and walkabout.

11 May 2023 Chester

Moving day today to Chester short journey only 36 mins. so time to go into Chirk again for a coffee.

Decided to go look at the aqueduct again and because a boat was arriving at the tunnel we decided to walk the 400 metres through the tunnel. WOW it was dark but great fun.

Short drive up to Chester with a few rain showers on arrival had a walk round Chester Fairoaks shopping centre.

Good drive up but raining (showers). Booked in and after lunch had an explore of Chirk town.

Coffee in Chirk before catching a train into Wrexham 15 mins by train. Walk about had a look round the Church.

Coffee again in Costa and spotted a lovely Juke box in a shop so had a chat with the owner who said it needed a repair and asked if I lived in the area as I could have fixed it for him.

In the afternoon had a cycle up to Castle Chirk FAB castle then on to the aqueduct FAB then along the town main street.

Cancelled due to wet weather but walked about when possible. No Buses on Sunday or Bank Holidays and during our time in town NO CARS.  ???
