Coffee with friends before leaving for Durham it took me 45 minuets to travel the 6 mile to the A1 wow. The rest of the drive was OK. On arrival they allowed me to park in reception to stay cool how nice you can just see me through the window.
This arrived on site its a while since I have seen one of these.
Then this arrived When parking please park between the white pegs OR PARK BETWEEN THE PITCHES ? nooooo!

Cycle this morning with friends up to Ripley Castle again for coffee up the Green way opps! I mean the brown way.

In the afternoon still catching up with friends before I set of North again and a cycle after tea up to Harrogate town for a look around and to get cool.

Thomas Eshelby: The surgeon who amputated Nelson’s right arm was born in Thirsk.
Had a walkabout in Thirsk before leaving for Harrogate did a bit more Blue Plaque spotting

I received lots of information about what to do on race days on the site (totally irrelevant) as I arrived after the racing. but they did not tell me about how close to my pitch the works were all day ?
On arrival at Harrogate coffee with friends and a good catch up.

Coffee with friends then a cycle up into Harrogate town brown plaque here?
Met with friend again for coffee in the afternoon then an other cycle in the evening tempted to have a cycle round the track below above the showground.

Cycle towards Durham but on looking at the sky RAIN approaching UGH I stopped at Belmont Starbucks as you can see from below the picture was ready for the rain.
Good drive down A1 all the way on arrival a walk into town to see if any changes. A few new Yarn Bombs.

Next morning walk about and coffee in town lunch.
Another walk about the number of Blue plaques here is amazing.
After lunch a cycle out to The Garden centre via Sowerby a friend told me they do a lovely coffee may try tomorrow as busy this afternoon
23-24 July 2026 Durham
Cycle up into Tynemouth before moving down to Durham a good drive down no problems through the Tyne tunnel.
On arrival had a cycle into town then next morning Market day so bus into town for coffee n cake.

On my way into the indoor market spotted these.
And on the way out spotted this bear wow.
In the afternoon another cycle into Durham. Spotted the Lamas out today.

Bus into town again for coffee n cake then back for the bike and a cycle up to Tynemouth its a lovely time of the year for flowers
Will have another evening cycle like yesterday. Time for the rabbits.
While stood in Greggs yesterday the staff rushed out from behind the counter to try and catch A SHOPLIFTER It’s a good job it was not the one in my picture below. click on image for BIG

Bet the prices on these machines on top of a car park could bee sky high.
Coffee and walk about in Whitley then a cycle about in Blyth some interesting houses ?
Same shipping company as in Berwick filling up with grain.

Bus into town for coffee and a walkabout noticed one of the charity shops a BIG one has closed down! still looking around for the bunnies will put some more up tomorrow.
Lots of golf clubs in this charity shop WOW
In the afternoon another cycle to New Hartley to do a bit more research into the terrible mine tragedy and a look at the memorial gardens they are lovely.
Cycled back through the village and down to Blyth for a coffee n cake
WOW my order has arrived that’s all for today.
In the evening another cycle down to Whitley and back via the lighthouse another lovely day and very HOT.

Coffee before leaving Seahouses. The picture below shows where the delivery wagons arrive near my pitch 0130 this morning. Good drive down and some washing this afternoon good machines here.

Bus into town this morning for coffee stopped to get a friend some poppies seeds but they have killed them all
There is a bunny trail on around Tynemouth so will start to look for some the one below is covered in money in the Thistle centre.

Some more problems on this £60.00 a night site traffic moving on site at 1o’clock in the morning out of the 3 wash basins in the shower block only 1 has cold water? the other taps are broke. Moving pitch today to the one near the Ocean club where I have been woken before by deliveries to the club at 3. 30 and 0630 in the morning. I love Seahouses but have had enough of this site.
Walk down to the harbour early to see the sea lovely and calming.
Back up into the quiet town passed the Old Ship Pub
Bike out for a cold windy cycle down to the Courtyard Cafe at Beadnell.
Love the writing on th seat by the old kilns.
After lunch up to Bambrough to St Aiden’s Church to see Grace Darlings grave.
Just outside the church door noticed this all I could find about it on the internet was.
As you can see the head stone has all the hallmarks of a pirate. It has a very prominent skull and cross bones and there is what looks like a sword of the variety popularly assumed to be used by pirates and various other unusual paraphernalia.
Could it be a pirate? It’s certainly possible and the gold earrings that pirates wore were in the hope that if they died in some foreign land, the locals would take pity on them and use the gold earring to pay for a simple Christian burial… despite their criminal activities.
