Had a drive down to Asda costa different staff service to slow so down to Workington Travelodge Costa OK.
In the afternoon had a drive down to Maryport harbor.
27 October 2026 KESWICK
Stayed on the site for an extra day leaving for Allonby at Lunchtime as the power is not on at my friends cottage that I am using for the next few weeks should be on this afternoon. So into Keswick did manage to get a Costa coffee in Keswick UGH! Met my friend and had a coffee and chat down near Asda don’t do Tiffin in this store they do Dubi Tiffin and no its not 200 stories tall.
Rain and blustery winds again all day.

Workington market day.
A bit of empty van for getting ready for Habitation check and mud of tyres. Drove down to Workington this morning for some shopping decided to have a Costa at Travelodge UGH! only 6 tables in use rest of store and toilets closed drive through cash only what is going on with Costa?
Above the tree that knocked down the electric wire to accommodation and after they had repaired and left I was interested in a part they had left as its good to know odd facts.

Hope Park cutbacks for winter.
Still having bad weather but managing a walkabout for coffee n cake this morning 26 had a walk down to the lake to look at the level of the lake as the Keswick campsite has closed due to flooding.
Where I am going to next has no power so managed to get an extra day at Derwentwater site due to a camper leaving early.
A friend AGAIN on at the theatre soon. ( I taught him how to lie.

Bad rain for the last 2 days so today 23 October decided to do some shopping in Penrith managed cake and coffee despite the rain.
Glad I am not at the campsite below in Norwich would need my swimwear.
As you all know this campsite in Keswick floods and managed to make a drawing one day its very famous. CLICK IMAGE FOR BIG

Having an awful time finding a good coffee shop in Keswick lots are shut Monday Tuesday tried one I have been using for years The Chalet used to not allow dogs but does now.
Ordered coffee but could not see an attractive cake and I am a cake expert Boo Hoo . Meeting up with a friend for coffee this afternoon so will try again a new café in The Moot Hall.
Met a friend in the afternoon at the Twisted Willow a new for cafe in the old information centre at the moot hall nice coffee and at last a piece of cake to die for.

Had a drive down to Hayes Garden centre at Ambleside to look at the Christmas display and a coffee.
Had a couple of walkabouts in Keswick then in the afternoon drove up to Kirkstone pass bad weather for the rest of the afternoon UGH!

Coffee in Keswick no way Costa is horrible as usual so drove up to Penrith for some shopping Costa in Penrith waiting time to be served 9 minuets UGH
In the evening a drive up to The Cow (Opps) Stone circle
Then drove over to the base of Halls Fell Ridge I used to run from the summit to the road in 11 minuets can’t do it now new speed limit sign there. Ha Ha

Last night a drive up to Skiddaw car park hopping for a good sunset again.
Market day in Keswick today everywhere busy so up to Threlkeld for a coffee
In the afternoon a drive round through Mosedale and Calbeck and back to Keswick very lucky not much traffic took about an Hour and to think we used to cycle this? The views were FAB.
Passed all the boulderers and the above …below.
Walk into Keswick at tea time Ouch busy and traffic every where.

Coffee as usual then met up with an old friend then in the afternoon had a drive down St Johns in the Vale.
In the evening a lovely sunset.

This morning a drive down to Ambleside for coffee one of the best costa coffee in england.
Had a walk about then drove back up to Keswick via Grassmere.
Like the name before it was changed.
These coloured things in the sky are all over the Lakes at the moment !

Had a drive up to Penrith for a walkabout and coffee and pick up some shopping.
Walkabout in Keswick then after tea took Bonney M for a walk up to the Stone circle he loved it.
