Bus into Durham for coffee before leaving for Whitley Bay. A short journey so some shopping before leaving.

Arrived just after 1300 so after lunch a walk down to Seaton Sluice.

Cycle this morning down to Ridley Park and Blyth had a coffee and cake at our usual place in Ridley Park but as last year annoying locals with dogs trying to get at our food so !!!! never again its not worth the hassle even for good food.

In the afternoon a cycle down to Whitley Bay.

Walk along the seafront to Whitley Bay as rain forecast coffee and Cake and then the rain came so a bus back to the site. A good day to do our washing.

Morning walkabout in town came back on the Sunderland 20 bus and again in the afternoon back on park and ride FULL! wow.

Cycle into town for a walkabout and coffee very Quiet in town.

Back into town in the afternoon on the Park and Ride the bus driver had his dog with him on the bus (A first)

14 – 15 June 2023 Durham

Walk in Barnard Castle for coffee before leaving for Durham a short drive stopping for shopping. Sat in the sun in the afternoon.

Next morning  a cycle into Durham about 40 mins each way in the afternoon a bus in and out had a walk round the Cathedral again.

2 walks into town today this morning for coffee and in the afternoon for ice cream.

Sometimes we get lovely visitors to our pitch.

The walk into town is FAB and you get to see fairy houses if you keep your eyes open

We spotted a lovely place to live but to close to the golf course.

Good journey over to Barnard Castle Appleby horse fair on (Busy) and slowing traffic down. Walked into Barnard Castle for a coffee Costa Coffee in town one of the few NO DOGS! Great day out.

Walk into town for coffee and returned to the site as we have to leave early 1115 ( a first in 15 years where the caravan club would not allow leaving a bit later) how this club is changing for the worst.

Met up for coffee at Fodders but yet another coffee place were the service has got worse. (cold coffee again)

Cycle to town again for a walkabout and coffee then washed the van in the afternoon

Cycle down to Starbeck to meet friends and a coffee ( got the order wrong) then caught a bus into Harrogate for a Walkabout.

Walk into town to meet family for coffee and chat had a walkabout chatting and sight seeing.

After shower and lunch met up again for more chatting and walk about.

A VERY good day.

Good drive over to york we did have an unusual beast on our windscreen but it left us at 70mph.

On the way here we also hit a swarm of Bees on the move a first it was like black hailstones as they hit the windscreen.

Had a walk into York for coffee and then an evening walk in the park next to the site.
