Another busy day with friend’s coffee in Workington in the morning then down to Windermere in the afternoon for coffee with friends. Called in at Hayes garden center again to buy a singing dancing Christmas tree they are so fab and cool. Gosh how things change It used to come in a box with batteries and touch the hand and it started.
Now no box, no batteries and a switch on its back.

Back up to Penrith for some shopping.

Still spending a lot of time with friends driving around the lake district and last night doing Kirkstone Pass.

Had a drive down with friends to look at Hayes garden center Christmas display fab as usual although I do miss the singing tree from a few years ago.
In the afternoon had a drive out to Allonby, Maryport harbour then down to Workington harbour.

Rain overnight but woke to a lovely day. The view over to Skiddaw.
Had a walkabout in town before it gets busy love the cake in Brysons window even I could not eat all that.
Thwe Christmas lights are going up in town.
Friends arrived so a walkabout in town again then down to the lake then a drive about Surprise View, Seatoller round the lake Whinlatter and Braithwaite a lovely day.
Someone had a good night out !

Drove up to Penrith for a look around and some shopping.
Some lovely art on the walls.
Had a coffee in Costa (fridge in the seating area)? at least it had a lovely drawing on the wall.
Met up with some friends having a few days in Keswick for a holiday and had a walk round the park with them and another coffee.
More ghosts appearing these are been grown or coming up from their graves .

Walk into Keswick spotted my first Halloween Ghost in town.
Out to Portinscale for a morning coffee and cake maybe I need a shower ??????
Tree art again in the coffee shop.

An event on today all day in the Theatre by the Lake.

In the evening a trip up to The Stone Circle to charge my soul. Then a drive down to Seatoller.
14-16 October 2025 Keswick
Catching up with friends a lot of talking and travel drove over to Maryport and Workington for some shopping.
Drove down to Ambleside for a coffee and walkabout good morning out.
Sat up here last night soaking in the view over Bassenthwaite Lake.
Wow with a horse shoe as big as this you could have a lot of luck.
Had a walk along this street looking for a bargain.
Love the fish. XX

Still trying new coffee shops today Fabrica 4.8 Tripadvisor lovely cake will be going here again. A cycle out to Braithwaite and a few walkabouts and called in to see a friend.

Misty start to the day but looks as though the sun may come out so a cycle up to Threlkeld coffee shop on the old railway line very cold good coffee and cake.

In the afternoon a cycle out to Thornthwaite then a couple of more walk abouts then picked my car up all fixed. Glad I am not waiting for this bus
