8 April 2024 Weymouth
Long trip so an early start found a great Starbucks with good parking on route. Arrived about 1230 lunch then into Weymouth on bus to look for changes from 2 years ago.
9 April 2024 Weymouth
Bad weather over night very high winds tents on the site had problems with one family leaving during the night, bus into town again for an other walk around the towns back streets and the harbour then an easy afternoon with missing a lot of sleep.
7 April 2024 Winchester
Into town twice as usual trying to find new places to see.
The deer below on the site is new we saw one at the site entrance last year but it was stolen so it has now been placed were the site cameras can see it.
5 – 6 April 2024 Winchester
Into Henley for a coffee and walk before leaving for Winchester a long drive down we must remember that parking in Tesco for a motorhome here is impossible. Into town in the afternoon to see if any Changes.
Next morning walked up the road for a while to catch the bus then a coffee and a couple of hours walk in the town.
Back to the site for lunch then back into the town again.
If the rain falls on St Swithun’s Street it could end up 40 feet deep as the saying goes ?
3 – 4 April 2024 Henley on Thames
Walk about the river is still high on Wednesday but has gone down about 1 foot overnight despite heavy rain.
Walked up as far as the weir and our usual going down different streets. managed to see these 2 statues outside the rowing museum.
Many of these private sites cater for doggy people.

Early start as road problems on the M25 held up for a while. Arrived on site 1330 the view from our pitch is FAB
Had a walk into Henley for a walk about.

Thought we would catch the train from Folkestone over to Paris for the day had a great time Maureen loved it.

Drove up to Sheerness for a look stopping for coffee difficult to get to the beach.
After lunch a cycle into Maidstone via Mote park an interesting route.

Into Canterbury first thing for coffee then set off to Bearstead ariving at 1300 lunch then a walk to Bearstead Woodland trust.

Left the site early to drive up to Sittingbourne parking at Morrisons so some shopping and a walk round the town !
Some nice graffiti in a very small main street drove back via Maudstone to get the feel to see if good to cycle. The below was on the cycle in.
After lunch got the bikes out and cycled to Maidstone need to bus in or drive to have a good look.
Walk into town bus back in the morning raining in the afternoon so bus in and out.

Walk into town again.
In the afternoon caught the bus into Sandwich a lovely little place very interesting.
