2 March 2026 SPAIN Calpe

Just about all topped up food wise to get me up to Zaragoza via Valencia still promising rain in the next few days when I am travelling so I tried an old trick to make it rain now (washed the Van) no sign yet Boo Hoo sob sob I hate a dirty van.

Spotted the tourist train this morning when on my way for coffee n muffin.

This is a reason I hate cyclists . I will meet u on the path at 9 by the crossing OK.

The building across from the site has gone up one and a half floors in the month I have been here. It takes about 3 years to build from scratch. BELOW ARRIVAL.

1 March 2026 SPAIN Calpe

AT 0830 this morning not looking good but turned out a lovely day so got my washing done it may just get me back to England as the next couple of sites the facilities are not to good.

The start of March the tourist things are starting to happen now.

The new  person on the next pitch stopped on Marysol campsite Calpe for 20 days an out of town campsite and he told me on arrival the owner had put the price up 100€ higher than his quote he said  he would call the police as it is wrong but after a stand off and at risk of been thrown off the site he agreed to 50€ ugh not a friendly guy  only spoke to me once in 2 weeks.

I wonder if this guy owns a campsite.

I love the way the sea weed  builds up like cliffs.

Had a couple of walk abouts and a cycle trying to ease up a bit as some long drives ahead soon. A women on the site cleaning the roof of the camper !!!!

The view of Calpe from the top of the Ifach. Two things you should do if you come to Calpe and are not scared of hights climb the Ifach

and No 2 coffee at the top of this hotel.

We were promised blood rain from the Sahara today but nothing yet !

Market day looking at this stall it could take all day to find a pair that match.

I think they are getting ready for the tourists now Coffee box coffee cup only half full one mouthful. And todays expensive 7.56 €

Had a walk about had a chat with this  rubbish bin its getting happier.

KFC has a new sandwich for people with a hangover.

Not everyone in Spain has an expensive house the locals in town.

A few years ago a statue was erected modeled on ME as a thank you for all the blogs to show how lovely Calpe is so had a cycle up to see if it was still there. COOL

Still stocking up food ready to move. Its lovely to get the car taken back I have missed my cycles and walk so managed 2 cycles today and a few walks.

The sea is lovely and calm this morning a bad sign. This campsite not only gives you a pitch Number it also allocates a sink number as well (joking).

It would be a good idea as I am a bit puzzled as to how I can leave the sink as I find it  will have to have a food waste bag to take with me for when I have finished.

Lovely to see the flamingo this morning on my cycle in Calpe Salina.

An interesting fact the bread I buy for lunch has 26 slices and a use by date 9 days later.

25 February 2026 SPAIN Calpe

Over the last few days have started to get ready for moving stocking up on food for traveling up Spain 18 liters of milk, 18 liters of water lots of jam and tinned fruit.

Decided to take the car back 2 days early I have had enough of driving round now washed the car and filled up with fuel.

22 days hire 670€ fuel used 105€ used the car wash before returning was surprised  5€ in foam and spray still 4€ left on the timer in the UK would have cost more ????

No age limit on hire Good eh I told them i was 200 years old Ha Ha

Lots of tidying up in the van carpets washing floor ect. Hair cut nearly all done.

Yesterday early walk again looking at the lovely trees on the prom.

I noticed this sign sex on the beach 5€ so thought its a good excuse to go to Benidorm and see how much sex on the beach is there because of its reputation. 6€ – 11€ OUCH. stopped for a Starbucks but the last one the girl will not give me the correct choice of bean and keeps adding .20€ to give me a bean I do not want (Casi Cielo) so get lost Starbucks.

In the evening a walk about in Morira again spotting some happy shoppers

Today a drive up to Denia Javia and a different route back lovely drive.

This evening had a drive up to Bennisa passing this lovely house with a wonderful view.

Up early for a walkies you can actually see the beach combers in the morning picture below.

Not much going on today had a long drive to see family down passed Alicanti XX

My mornings drive. In the evening a drive down to Altea again SUNDAY no road works got parked on the sea front this time.

One of my coffee stops over the years. Below I thought YES….? NO was the answer.

Up early to do some washing these machines are fab washing almost dry coming out of machine.

On my early morning walk into Calpe saw a car it looks like it crashed into a ZEBRA.

Yesterdays pictures from Denia market and evening drive up to xalo

Had a drive up to Xalo last night to look at parking as a antique market on Saturday but after thinking about it we went one year and not so good had a walk into the town not much there its a large wine region I was impressed by the size of the well.

In the afternoon had a drive down to Benidorm again for a coffee very busy spotted the pea men today same faces as on youtube.
