Cycle down to Cake shop before leaving for Old Hartley the reason there is no one playing golf is pretty obvious in the image below.
Good drive down a cycle on arrival then RAIN RAIN RAIN but lots of opportunities for rainbow pictures
13 September 2025 Whitley Bay
Managed a bus into town lots of road works so bus stop moved back to the site for the bike then up to Teignmouth and back just before RAIN RAIN RAIN. So decided to do washing.
11 September 2025 Seahouses
A sower type day so managed to get down to the cake and coffee shop (just) then some rain.
Below the old gun powder house at the harbor.
These are new since my last visit outside an ice cream shop/ cafe in Seahouses.
After lunch the weather improved so managed to cycle down passed Bamburgh Castle and further up the coast.
Said hello to this happy looking stone XX

Cycle down to Maltesa Tiffen Opps! I mean Beadnell. Its lovely to be here for High tide for a change had a walk about in town and the harbor.
After lunch looks like rain so a short cycle about looking for new roads I have never been down (difficult).
Spotted on the harbor wall at Beadnell a cracking good tune.

Coffee and a few cycles today round the harbor and out looking for The Blood moon.

Checked the tyre pressure this morning for a fast safe journey so I could get down to the coutyard cafe for an afternoon coffee and Maltesa Tiffin YUM YUM
The Stall on the wall at Beadnell looks os though its getting bigger every time I come The cycles are £10

Walk into town had a change from Costa as had a bad experience here.
Back for a cycle around looking for strange things to photo spotted a sign for my next campsite.
Then an age type thing.
Then a while since I have seen one of these.

A wonderful rainbow appeared last night to finish a lovely day.
Walk into town this morning to pick up some artwork I was having done coffee n ? there are always lots of swans here posing for pictures.
Cycle into town for some more picture pickups the an evening cycle around the seafront round the city walls.

Cycle into Dunbar this morning for coffee and cake missed cake yesterday noticed a lovely camper van but had forgot my camera so cycled back to the site and back to Belhaven Beach to get a picture of the Bridge to Nowhere.
Drove down to Berwick shopping on the way cycled into town to arrange some special printing I need doing then along Spittal as it looks like RAIN again.

Due to the fact we are going to have rain ALL DAY tomorrow I decided to have an evening cycle last night and visited Barns Ness lighthouse and Torness Nuclear Power station from a distance.
Next day RAIN RAIN RAIN so did some paper work and booking a few campsites up to October.

After visiting Edinburgh campsite for many years and seen the changes on both the site and the area the reviews and the crime in this area I get the feeling that Edinburgh site like Bristol will close in the next few years for housing development.
Bus into Edinburgh this morning still exploring.
Noticed that they had fitted the curtains on the outside of the windows UGH!
Drive down to Dunbar 1hour no problems today. Love this Statue Lady with the swan.

While taking the picture of the above noticed a BIRD LOO Ugh! again.
I have noticed this lovely metal bear many times when driving up the A1 so decided to cycle to it pretty easy a cycle way goes from the back of FAIR ACARES housing estate over to ASDA and passes right past it.
Cycled into Dunbar to see if there was any changes since I was last here.
