A plaque has now appeared on the Button Shop.
After my trip into town this morning had a cycle this afternoon how nice to put these rest stops in the countryside.
Sat on the docks for 4 hours watching people and their weird view on life going for a coffee at boarding time and holding loading up driving up to the ship with a young babby on the driver’s knees? I got loaded and had tea just a soup and a thousand cakes. Very bad weather the ship was rocking and rolling all night. At 5.05 in the morning photo of my digital clock displaying an SOS.
The cabins.
After leaving the Bay of Biscay the wind and waves were coming from behind us so not to bad. Lots of coffee and cake today and a soup before leaving the ship for the drive down to Poole tonight will get to the site about 2230 I think. Got held up on the ship managed to get to the campsite 0030 bad weather, road works rain and floods o heck.
Caught the bus into town met a lovely couple and sat having a chat over coffee in Poole. One thing that changes every time I come is the Yarn Bombing.
Did some shopping then another cycle down to Poole docks to see the Twin Sails bridge that has been left open for a long time due to it been closed for 5 months.
Just bumped into a couple I met in Harrogate my friends say once seen never forgotten EH! they recognised me (The picture man)
Graffiti and Statue day. Some thunder and lightening over night and some rain it’s getting me ready for returning to the UK.
A cold morning 9 degrees outside 10 in the van so a brisk walk into town when the coffee shops open and a sandwich and a Fanta for the docks while waiting to get on the ship. In the afternoon temperature up to 20 degrees.
Had a walk into town for the coffee today the 9 March BIG coffee or little spoon?
Needed to get a new saddle for my bike so had a walk about in town some shopping and back to the site to fit the saddle then a test cycle round the town looking for things to pici!
This petrol station on the main street always amazes me?
The Bull Ring
This slide in the play area is amazing.
In the afternoon had a cycle to BASTIDA I like the name what a great cycle and a wonderful Spanish small town I am glad I went.
I did take a picture of the chemical disposal area for you all. Had a coffee in the campsite restaurant in Zaragoza cold coffee what a shame for such a lovely looking place.
Again a lovely 2 1/2 hour drive up to Haro great views and about 100 miles of wine vines I am now in Rioja country. Due to it been a toll road 29€ today and 43€ of fuel used there is not a lot of traffic cruise control set at 70 and see about 1 car every mile. Stopped for a coffee and cremma.
Due to this site having fab facilities I dis a wash as soon as I got here and will do another just before I leave.
Massive swimming pool.
Had a walk into town passed the first of 14 Bodegas looks like they have had a lot of rain here the river is flooded.
The drive up to Zaragosa on the v23 is wonderful it stays at about 1000 meters for the whole journey passing through the mountains and passing roads to the ski resorts. Although it was raining for the 4 hour drive it was still great. Stopped for coffee and cake after 2 1/2 hours when I stopped here a few years ago the snow was 4 inches deep in the car park. BOOKED in at Zaragosa at about 1215 shower lunch and a walk into town. Another uck campsite.
7 March 2026 SPAIN Zaragoza
The campsite and the restaurant
Can you see the shock on the elephants face at the amount of cranes on the building site.
Zaragoza is a very big town the bikes outside the campsite have appeared since I have arrived in December. I had a 2 hour cycle round going in past a Post Office tower look alike (London). Had a cheapest breakfast yet 3.60€ had a good look around a massive statue in one of the many parks. The hospital building size gives you an idea of how big the town is.
On the campsite spotted a lovely tree and some hammocks for an afternoon snooze the green picture with water on is not the swimming pool it’s the tennis court up by the campsite restaurant.
