13 December 2025 Cirencester

Walk into town for coffee and to try and find the snowmen great searching for them.

Even saw a rabbit.

and a lovely decorated car.

Back into town in the afternoon getting very busy this hedge size always amazes me.

I see these ever year at this time at the kennels.

 

Decided to catch the bus into Cheltenham before leaving for Cirencester  they didn’t let me down hit the kerb with back wheels 3 times on a 10 mins. drive cool eh!

Good drive down some shopping then the sun came out lovely so a walk into Cirencester for an hour walk about love this pubs name SOME WHERE ELSE.

This was a bank earlier its now a Corning Bakery shop.

There is a snowman trail in town so will try to find some tomorrow.

Had a bit of trouble booking in took a printout of a voucher for a free night and they said a printout is not acceptable ???? Decided to do some washing one of the driers here has been out of order for 2 years ???? The good thing I bumped into some friends from Stratford that I haven’t seen for a year (lovely)

11 December 2025 Cheltenham

Managed to get to Gloucester on the bus this morning I will be glad to get away from these buses they need some massive help 3 incidents today????

These trees at the keys look so good in summer when I was here I can see why now with the supports in the tree.

In the afternoon into Cheltenham by bus Argh #### next 3 days no buses WOW FAB.

10 December 2025 Cheltenham

Checked the bus time on the internet left the site to catch the bus into Gloucester the time table was different at the bus stop so decided to go to Cheltenham again crossed the road and the bus arrived at the stop Ugh! missed it ! had another look around in town passing the ice rink.

After lunch caught the bus to Gloucester and it broke down just outside town so went back to the site for lunch and shower.  Noticed the services area has turned into a tool shed as well ?

Caught the bus into Cheltenham again lots of works near the bus stop adding a bigger walk to the stop and on the way back the information board on the bus displayed the below not having much fun with buses this week if the weather is good tomorrow may get the bike out.

Walk up into Warwick this morning up to the castle and Coffee #1 spotted some wet knitting an awful rainy day again.

The fish on yesterdays blog did not like money but this one loves plastic ?

Wet drive down to Cheltenham some awful drivers causing chaos on the M5 on their mobile phones in wet weather and a large cone trying to avoid drivers UGH! On arrival caught the bus into Cheltenham having bus problems this week a new bus number has appeared and the regular bus has a different route first change in 18 years of coming here.

8 December 2025 Warwick

A good drive to Warwick race course had a walk into Warwick for a coffee and look around not much changed here. In the evening watched Warwick Castle gets ready for Christmas on I player interesting.

This morning bus to Stratford on Avon 20 mins travel had a good look around.

Another friend !

This was a very busy cafe last time I was here they have now moved to Lord Street in town.

These are to friendly I wish the public would stop feeding them?

Into Starbucks for coffee and did my Shakespeare act when ordering so got a cup with my name on XX

Raindeer but a lovely day

In the afternoon bus up to Royal Leamington Spa only 2 miles had a good walk about.

Posh here the ducks have their own shower.

The only problem today was the bus driver drove straight past the bus stop and kept going so had to wait another 1/2 hour ?

 

Thought about going to see Scrooges grave again but would cost £2 to get to it (see link)  Fictional Scrooge and his real churchyard grave – BBC News

So bus into town and coffee n cake before leaving for Ludlow and a washing day. Just realised why the weather is so wet its all the Raindeer?

Drive down tricky lots of road works and 3 floods 1 hour trip. Booked in, this is another site in the Morris group like the last site and has lovely decorations.

 

 

5 December 2025 Shrewsbury

Had a few walkabouts yesterday and this morning in Southport taking in some Christmas decorations and coffee this morning before driving down to Shrewsbury.

A good drive down about 2 hours caught the Park and Ride into town £2 return in horrible rain the bus took longer than when the road works were on at the railway station despite it been dark and wet I was too early for the street light so will have a look round in the morning before leaving for my next site.

The campsite lights used to be the best in England a few years ago but cutbacks ????

 

3 December 2025 Southport

Once a fork then Fork the menace.

Had a walk into Southport for a look around, a few more shops closed and the Christmas decorations not as good as the last few years and NO ice ring yet in Victoria Park ?

Had a look in The Market as it has always been closed when I have been here A MARKET REALY ?

In the afternoon had a walk down to the sea front spotted some flying fish and as usual the tide was out but a lovely view over to Blackpool.

While walking down the seafront I wondered why all the people were walking down the cycle path and was thinking how silly but was almost hit by a bike on the footpath and realised why Ugh ####

This graffiti is still looking good after many years of been here.

2 December 2025 Keswick

2 1/2  Hour drive down to Southport today heading south stopped at  Sizergh Farm Shop for coffee n cake with friends interesting place.

Walk into town for a look around and buy a new watch strap last one I bought here  has lasted well for 3 years.

Lovely post box and teddy bear it was here last Christmas.
