1 May 2025 Whitley Bay
Bus into town for a look to see the changes since I was last here. Then a cycle to Tynmouth lots of disruption one way on the road from near Tynmouth to Whitley Bay building a cycle way lots done since last year but a lot to do.
Made it to The Moon and Back again very long cycle.
They are trying to get this old Lido back into use (don’t think it will happen)
In the afternoon a cycle down to Seaton Sluice then out to St Mary’s lighthouse newly painted.
30 April 2025 Witley Bay
Walk into Whitby not much time as I have to leave the site by 1100 so in for a coffee and nearly 1000 so leave some and head for the 1000 bus ARGH cancelled no driver so had to wait for the 1030.
A good drive up managed to kill a few thousand flies UGh? Got here about 1310 so lunch then a cycle into Whitley Bay a lovely route in the evening a short walk.

Managed an evening walk yesterday lovely views.
Managed to visit afew of my favorite allies in town.
Walked into town today about 30 mins. walk then had a good look around then in the afternoon bus into town for another walkabout.
Whitby is a lovely town but very busy with old people and doggies
Spotted an F1 style doggie pram.
not the place to move around fast.
Asked the campsite for a pitch close to the toilet WOW didn’t expect to get one inside the toilets.
In the evening another walk on the cliff tops.

Into Scarborough this morning for coffee and walkabouts. Then in the afternoon a bus into Whitby for a quick look.
Lovely to see the road open. Just missed The Goth weekend but still plenty about in town. FAB
Spotted a great tee shirt in town it says
“Gaming ruined my life BUT luckily I still have 2 lives left”.
27 April 2025 Scarborough
Bus into Scarborough this morning to look at the New Starbucks in town, Lovely store but not enough staff so service very slow.
Spotted a lovely mermaid in the store.
Campsite very big 200 pitches although not busy at the moment great room with television pool table and video swap.
Turning up early have to park on a very busy road ?
In the afternoon bus to Filey but very busy as it passes 4 very large campsites one is so big it has 4 bus stops outside it. In the evening a walk around Cayton village passed The Farrier Pub

Cycle into Brid. before leaving for next site very interesting to see 5 football pitches all next to each other at the end of the south beach.
Short drive this morning so some shopping at Brid. before leaving good drive up. Lunch then a cycle to Cayton Bay and down to Killerby.

Cute Name Eh!
Cycle down to Bridlington again this morning 3 trains on the front
South Bay
North Bay. Below coffee stop.
After lunch a cycle up to The North Landing then to the South Landing.
Then another cycle into town again.

Cycle into town this morning along to the south beach and of course coffee and mars bar bunny cake.

This is a picture of the Coast guard station at Flambrough Head I used to go in here to tell them where we were diving.

Walk up the riverside then into York for coffee.
Betties que not to big.
This has had scaffolding on for years they even did scaffolding tours once !

short drive over to York stopping for some toilet supplies at Monks Cross Go Outdoors.
A walk into York for some shopping then in the evening a walk into Rowntree Park always lots on here.
