One thing we do regret is missing the sailing of the Queen Mary 2. She left on the 21st for Southampton after a re-fit here in Hamburg. All in all a good 2 days here, would recommend for a short city break.

What fabulous buildings in the Grand Place one of the best we have seen over the years. Sites we have been to include the automium, Basilica, Cathedral, both Grand palace’s, The palais De Justic, with the free lift down to the antique area,

The European Parliament with its visitors centre, The Manneken Pis? Why I don’t know!  And lots of streets and shopping areas.  I think the highlights were the Grand Square and The Automium what a great piece of engineering and tourist attraction.

Automium

A low was that we were the only people to get off at the European Parliament and there were only about 12 people in the place. The city is FULL of immigrants begging.
