Into Thirsk first thing for coffee before leaving for Harrogate it was lovely to see some more new knitting in the market place lovely see below.

A good drive over for a change and met friends for coffee.

23  August 2024 Thirsk

Bad journey over should have been 1Hr 50mins. It took 3 Hours. Penrith again (bonkers) and A66 problems. Arrived booked in lunch then a walk into town. (click image for BIG)

Decided to have a look at the World Championship Axe throwing in the afternoon. Different but worth looking at if you have a spare £10.

21 -22 August 2024 Keswick

Weather a bit damp so catching the bus into Keswick and still meeting friends for coffee. Had a walk down to the lake its starting to fill up.

The pub below should be called the Boot and shoe.

The wind on the last night here was WOW factor 100 rock n roll man. Flood warnings out for Keswick campsite.

18 August 2024 Keswick

Into Barnard Castle for coffee before leaving for Keswick. Yet another very difficult drive 70 mins drive took 2 Hours Penrith Agh!

Arrived on site lunch then a cycle into Keswick for a look around then out to Thornthwaite.  good Day

19 August 2024 Keswick

Bus into town but got a lift from someone I knows daughter. Had a good look about then met some friends for coffee at the Theatre gosh its the worst place ever in Keswick for coffee.

1. Coffee half full  my friend asked for a spoon they said we don’t give them with take away cups she insisted so they gave her a desert spoon great for removing the froth then taking it back to show them how much coffee is in the cup.
2. The cakes look awful I am a cake man but not in here.
3. To many dogs.

The flowers in the park look lovely.

20 August 2024 Keswick

The shower block is FAB here my friends think it looks like it belongs in the Savoy until I told them if it did then the people who did the damage to a shower door would have been able to spell JerK.

17 August 2024 Barnard Castle

Walk into town this morning coffee at Costa HORRIBLE guess re- boiled milk. There is a thing going on with schools about doggies poo (well done).

In the afternoon a walk back into town for a second time noticed the putting golf was good to educate people about things in the town.

Came back along the riverbank weird eh!

16 August 2024 Barnard Castle

Same but different a picture of the backside I only took it to show you the lovely weather we are having.

Further down the street a lovely building. On the walking the river looked so good also.

In town spotted a lovely van while having a walkabout for a couple of hours.

15 August 2024 Barnard Castle

Wet start to the day so left for Barnard Castle calling in for shopping at Stockton and dropping a picture of for the wardens on the camp site.

On arriving the usual shower and lunch then a walk into town to see if anything had changed and a coffee.

This Butter market has a court room in the upstairs.

Very unusual to see downstairs toilets’ still in use.

13 August 2024 Berwick/Whitley Bay

Cycle up to Tynmouth for coffee then into Whitley Bay lunch then caught the bus into Whitley bay twice for some shopping in the afternoon had a cycle down to Seaton Delavan Hall for a look around interesting.

14 August 2024 Berwick/Whitley Bay

Cycle into Whitley bay twice morning and afternoon after watching silly hour on the campsite very very interesting today one of the best. In the evening a walk down to Seaton Sluice.

Enjoying a bit of time with friends that had come to see me (wonderful). The next picture is the poor abuse that food only bins have to suffer at the hands of ucky people.

Had a few cycles up to Tynmouth and down to Blyth the beaches are very busy here and lovely weather.

5-7 August 2024 Berwick

Coffee in Dunbar before leaving for Berwick a short drive but again the roads were difficult due to road works. Got a good pitch then friends arrived so had a good catch up over the next two days had a few cycles and lots of chatting in the sun.

Today the 7th showed them The Catholic Church of our Lady and St Cuthbert although closed had a walk road the garden lovely. On the way back to the site noticed a removal van with a lovely picture on the side it could have been an early motorhome.

A sad thing on the site someone had stolen a picture from the toilet block.
