10 March 2025 Valencia
Into town again this morning on the bike came out of the rambler at the top side of town near the old gate.
Then into the church sqaure then found my usual Starbucks for coffee and Muffin (lovely). Down into the main area by the Ayuntamiento (Town Hall).
They have just started to build the statue for the fallas.
These fire crackers go of at about 1300 ever day and they advise you to keep your mouth open during the display (they are VERY LOUD)
In the afternoon another cycle to El Saler and into the town Pinedo and back along the beach cycle way.
9 March 2025 Valencia
Coffee and a walk into Calpe and along the sea front said goodby to a few friends and left for Valencia at 1100 a good drive up arriving at 1230. Lunch then a cycle into town it takes about 35 mins.
Heard all the fireworks and saw the smoke and heard the bangs so set of for the street it was coming from.
Wow what a lovely day to arrive they are all getting ready for The Fallas.
They build massive art forms some reaching 30 – 40 feet in Hight from foam and then set fire to them.
Pushed the bike through the streets as far as the Bull Ring, railway station then on into the main square. Was going to stop for a coffee but some friends sent me one and lots and lots of cakes on an email (I have put a stone in weight on just reading it He He) so I didn’t bother.
I came back down through the park.
An evening walk to the beach you have to be alert as this is a huge Dogging area.
If you are on ship tracker there is always lots of ships here waiting to get into the harbor.
8 March 2025 Calpe
Lots of walking and 2 cycles again today.
I managed to see the end of the race last night.
Love this cute little van.

Still enjoying my walks and cycles there is a cycle race on over the next few days and I will go down to see the start at 1600.
The delivery van below can get your parcel delivered very fast I think
Spotted this unusual furnished bar on my cycle.
4 – 5 March 2025 Calpe
Love the way they display the fruit in this shop well done.
Still searching around I can tell its time to leave hard to find new pictures for you all.
Another sign the tourist season begins the Tourista train and the fun fair opens 7 March. And yes you can get good old British Fish n Chips here.
It is possible to see lots of legless brits in Benidorm but it is also possible to see legless frogs as well (Keep your eyes open they POP if stood on)
3 March 2025 Calpe
Rain to start the day but got a lot warmer later so did some washing and shopping as I am getting ready to move sites soon.
Some of the graffiti can be a bit dangerous here.
The above shows where the footpath goes up the Ifach.
After a walk on the beach chatting up birds I found an old friend who suggest joining him for coffee.
I heard on the news that a candy floss machine had gone out of control in Benidorm and on looking at the Sky it has found its way to Calpe.
1 – 2 March 2025 Calpe
Bad rain promised for 4 days Storm Dana I think is its name although not to bad still getting out and about and managed a cycle today Sunday.
There is a race on and it was good to go and watch it 9.6Klm with a wining time about 29 mins I think.
First lady. Flying home her feet didn’t touch the ground.
27 – 28 February 2025 Calpe
Still walking about I get 3 hours walking a day and 2 hour cycling not bad for an old guy. There is a few Germans on site that get my name wrong they keep saying Morgon first thing.
Bad rain storms promised for the next four days Ouch what does RAIN mean anyone know.
25 -26 February 2025 Calpe
Still pushing the boundary’s looking foe new pictures had 3 cycles over the last two days as I am getting used to the bike again ready for a cycle into Valencia from the campsite.
Lovely sunny weather about 22 Degrees during the day so lots of walking about on the seafront. If its nice tomorrow a washing day I think.
