Had a drive down with friends to look at Hayes garden center Christmas display fab as usual although I do miss the singing tree from a few years ago.
In the afternoon had a drive out to Allonby, Maryport harbour then down to Workington harbour.

20 October 2025 Keswick
Rain overnight but woke to a lovely day. The view over to Skiddaw.
Had a walkabout in town before it gets busy love the cake in Brysons window even I could not eat all that.
Thwe Christmas lights are going up in town.
Friends arrived so a walkabout in town again then down to the lake then a drive about Surprise View, Seatoller round the lake Whinlatter and Braithwaite a lovely day.
Someone had a good night out !

Rain arrived as promised so another washing day.

Drove up to Penrith for a look around and some shopping.
Some lovely art on the walls.
Had a coffee in Costa (fridge in the seating area)? at least it had a lovely drawing on the wall.
Met up with some friends having a few days in Keswick for a holiday and had a walk round the park with them and another coffee.
More ghosts appearing these are been grown or coming up from their graves .

Walk into Keswick spotted my first Halloween Ghost in town.
Out to Portinscale for a morning coffee and cake maybe I need a shower ??????
Tree art again in the coffee shop.

An event on today all day in the Theatre by the Lake.

In the evening a trip up to The Stone Circle to charge my soul. Then a drive down to Seatoller.
14-16 October 2025 Keswick
Catching up with friends a lot of talking and travel drove over to Maryport and Workington for some shopping.
Drove down to Ambleside for a coffee and walkabout good morning out.
Sat up here last night soaking in the view over Bassenthwaite Lake.
Wow with a horse shoe as big as this you could have a lot of luck.
Had a walk along this street looking for a bargain.

Still trying new coffee shops today Fabrica 4.8 Tripadvisor lovely cake will be going here again. A cycle out to Braithwaite and a few walkabouts and called in to see a friend.

Misty start to the day but looks as though the sun may come out so a cycle up to Threlkeld coffee shop on the old railway line very cold good coffee and cake.
Lovely spiders webs.
In the afternoon a cycle out to Thornthwaite then a couple of more walk abouts then picked my car up all fixed. Glad I am not waiting for this bus

Today called in to THE KESWICK KITCHEN Score 4.9 on Tripadvisor
Had about a 2hr walkabouts catching up with friends one I haven’t seen 10 years WOW. Graffiti in Keswick has to have a dog on !
This new cafe in Keswick has remote control diggers in it for children to play.
Spotted a witch trying to steal an ice cream ?
Cycled out to Braithwaite then down to the lake shore to check the height of Derwentwater Lake.
Seem to be coming across lots of Fun Guys.

Walk into Hawes this morning for coffee spotted a lovely window display then stopped for a steak pie at Crockets butchers.
Drive up to Keswick a lovely drive especially with a lunch stop at The Harvester. On arrival in Keswick had a couple of walkabouts to look at the new shops.

Friend picked me up so I could pick up my car from storage but looks like it may have a broken spring so had it transported to the garage for repair. Spotted some lovely Ink Caps my friend actually made so ink from them to try to use FAB. Back to Keswick for a couple of walkabouts and chat with a friend.
Had a look in Costa Keswick Ugh so went to see a friend who owns his own coffee shop in town for a catchup.
8 October 2025 Hawes
Thank you to one of my followers on the bridge sign Ordnance Survey Sign (Hight above sea level).
Coffee with friends before leaving for Hawes again good drive thought the road was closed when checking the route but had finished the work early FAB. Washing, lunch and shower then up into town for a pie Bo Ho SHUT at 1300 so up to the coffee shop for cake SHUT at 1500 Boo Hoo.
Checked out the supply of apples for the next 3 months good
The lads are still here.
