8 – 9 March 2017 – Vilanova Park, Vilanova, Barcelona
Arrived 11.00. Good journey up. Booked in, put on a non-sunny pitch but moving to better one tomorrow. Had a meal in restaurant with our friends Linda and Steve. Had a good walk in the hills this morning, hoping to get back to running once we have settled down. Had a walk around the site looking for Chrissy and Roberto but not here. Eurocamp have started building their tents for the summer season.
27 – 28 February 2017 – Camping Coll Vert, Valencia
Good drive up from Santa Pola, arrived about 11.00. Bikes out and off for a cycle into Valencia for a Costa coffee. Next day the same but better weather and different route, but good cycle paths all the way.
1 – 8 March 2017 – Camping Bonterra Park, Benicassim
Arrived about 10.00 after a good journey. Managed to get the same sunny pitch we had earlier in the year. Both now running so lots of exercise with cycling, walking in the hills and beach running. Managed 2 cycles along old railway line to Oropesa and a cycle to Castellon. We left this site 6 weeks ago with people with bad colds and they still have them when we arrived back??? Leave in the morning for the Barcelona area for a few weeks.
16 February 2017 Camping Bahia Santa Pola

Arrived early got a pitch and then our usual walkabout. Next day the Spanish arrived and did there usual partying until 0100 in the morning so asked to move pitches then got a great pitch higher up the site in among the Swedish and Fins.

Bus to Alicante had a good walkabout again in areas new to us a good day.

Some washing then Paul and Patsy picked us up and we went to the motorhome show at Alicante Airport then into Alicante for lunch. Picked a bad restaurant this time Restaurant Palmitas not good at All a complete waste of money. We probably picked it so we could sit outside so that we didn’t get locked in this time!!!!
Started to get rid of our colds Maureen running well and we have both started cycling again with a good cycle up to Gran Alicant and a 3 hour cycle down to Family in Rojales.
Had a lovely Saturday with family down at their house with a great curry feast and cheese cake. And saw our first fire in a house for years!
Washed the van here 3 times as it turns a red sandy colour every time it rains.
Leaving here tomorrow heading north.
15 February 2017 Calpe Mar Calpe
Our last night before we move south a lovely stay here except for us getting a cold each, it stopped us doing as much cycling and running as we would have liked but never mind. Our last day walking on the beach we found 40 pieces of glass towards building a large fish we have now a few hundred so I will start building it when we have a thousand pieces.
8 February 2017 Calpe Mar Calpe
Both having our usual winter colds so no big exercise thing happening at the moment. Finding glass also on these manicured beaches is also difficult for the broken glass fish I intend to build. Train down to Altea today and coffee with tostada topped tomato Frito and oil yum yum.
The below picture: I have seen lots of these sunk in canals rivers and harbours but this is a first! one for sale with engine and life jackets attached !!!!
Below: Playing beach? volleyball here is only for very skilled people?

A good run this morning managed to get out and back on a 30 mins run before the people in a seafront cafe had drunk their coffee, a year from now it will probably be closed when I pass coming back! Benidorm day today and another Costa Coffee treat. A lovely sunny day. Railway trip good but the line is closed up to Denia.

Arrived Calpe Mar. Settled in very well after a few days of wet, windy weather but this is the place to be on occasions like these, on a purpose built campsite with tarmac roads and non-muddy pitches.
Started doing our usual Calpe thing exploring the years changes, cycling to Moraira, started running again, walk to the Ifach and lots of shopping. Weather now improved and both now in shorts. Lots of coffees with friends Linda and Ray from Harrogate.
Treating ourselves to a restaurant meal tomorrow with family. Looking forward to it.
The Building below an apart-hotel was only 17 floors last year now 30 floors.
20-21 Calpe Mar Calpe
Managed to get booked into Calpe campsite for a while so we can watch and enjoy the rain in comfort. Very wet n windy arranged to meet friends for coffee !!!! Maybe tomorrow.
