A good run this morning managed to get out and back on a 30 mins run before the people in a seafront cafe had drunk their coffee, a year from now it will probably be closed when I pass coming back! Benidorm day today and another Costa Coffee treat. A lovely sunny day. Railway trip good but the line is closed up to Denia.

Arrived Calpe Mar. Settled in very well after a few days of wet, windy weather but this is the place to be on occasions like these, on a purpose built campsite with tarmac roads and non-muddy pitches.
Started doing our usual Calpe thing exploring the years changes, cycling to Moraira, started running again, walk to the Ifach and lots of shopping. Weather now improved and both now in shorts. Lots of coffees with friends Linda and Ray from Harrogate.
Treating ourselves to a restaurant meal tomorrow with family. Looking forward to it.
The Building below an apart-hotel was only 17 floors last year now 30 floors.

Managed to get booked into Calpe campsite for a while so we can watch and enjoy the rain in comfort. Very wet n windy arranged to meet friends for coffee !!!! Maybe tomorrow.
17 18 January 2017 Camping Coll Vert Valencia
A lovely couple of days again in Valencia didn’t manage a cycle it was too cold 1C overnight with snow flakes and hail.
A local girl was telling us it has not snowed here in 60 years. The weather is certainly a bit strange. Had a walkabout in the backstreets again looking for different things off the tourist trail.
Had lunch out Wednesday a treat for us in El Saler shopping center at a Neco eat all you can restaurant, we have dined here before with a friend.
19 January 2017 Camping El Pino Denia
WOW what a drive down, high winds, sleet, rain, gosh. A short journey, arrived 1000, booked in, then drove down to Calpe to see if we can get on Calpe Mar, Yes we can arrive tomorrow,. Called in to See Linda, and Ray, then back up to Denia. for some more wind, rain and high seas. They had snow yesterday, first time since, 1983 the pictures were impressive glad we missed it. This was written so as to not let Linda get out of breath Bless……….

Last Day here moving south again in the morning. Tonight is Bonfire Night all the streets are full of small fires! all over the town.

Over the last few days we have relaxed a bit with a Run on the beach and another cycle to Castellon for lunch and coffee.

A day off exercise after a few days of walking about with friends so just had a 2 1/2 Hr cycle down to Castellon for a coffee. ?

Arrived early this morning after a windy journey the weather has warmed slightly we are now at 16C at 1630 and back in shorts. Poor reception getting hassle from a Dutch guy trying to get on site using a photo copy of passport !!!! A bit of shopping and then a cycle up to Orpesa on the old railway line.
The bull ring here looks good for grazing don’t think it’s been used for a while.
Looks like one of our long term travelling friends in not here this year?
