26 March 2017 Camping La Nautique, Narbonne

Good drive up from Barcelona stopping twice, the second time in France where we had coffee served in cardboard cups!!!! Welcome to France. Arrived La Nautique a bit early so walked down to the lake and did some glass collecting for Darian’s glass fish. We collected 43 pieces. This lake shore is the site for fly tipping we think. There is so much glass and tiles that we stopped collecting here.

Good campsite for stopover with your own facilities on the pitch and they are good.

27 March 2017 Camping du pont d’Avignon

Good journey up, arrived well before lunchtime. Walk into Avignon along the Rhone. Wandered around the shops.

Maureen had her usual “Crepe avec  Nutella”. This one was made by a machine as the usual stall had closed. Had coffee near the Papes Palace. Darian came out on crutches as usual in France, it costing an arm and a leg.

Late afternoon walked into Villeneuve les Avignon and late evening went to watch the sun set on the Papes Palace.

24 March 2017 – Vilanova Park, Vilanova, Barcelona

Last few days at Villanova before we move on, van all washed (made it rain) so expecting lots of yellow pollen and red sand to come pouring of the roof soon.

Had a good walk this morning around the Camino’s and on into town for some final shopping so ready to go.

25 March 2017 – Vilanova Park, Vilanova, Barcelona

Last Day so a farewell to friends and a last walk on the beach will miss the coffee and cakes in Villanova but on we go to new things, the picture below is how far Spring has sprung here in Barcelona.

Busy few days with a trip into Sitges, a cycle up to l ’ Arboc and a day in Barcelona doing our usual wander about. Coffee in Starbucks due to Costa Coffee not so good in Barcelona.

Washed the van to get the pollen off ready for our move up to France this weekend.

17 March 2017 – Vilanova Park, Vilanova, Barcelona

Express train to Tarragona, 25 minutes, for our second visit looking at paces we missed last year. Antique fair and market in main street. A good day out.

13 -14 March 2017 – Vilanova Park, Vilanova, Barcelona

Had a day off then today walked in to Villanova with Linda and Steve and had Pinchos in Lizerran a good lunch then coffee a good day out again.

11 -12 March 2017 – Vilanova Park, Vilanova, Barcelona

Cycle into Sitges for a coffee and noticed the Quilting Exhibition was on so came back to site, had lunch, then caught bus and train back to Sitges to have a look.

Sunday up early to catch first bus into Vilanova, then train into Barcelona to watch the Marathon.

Moved pitch this morning back in sunshine “goody”

Into Barcelona today to do some more exploring. Good Day out Costa Coffee disappointing. Both shops in Barcelona need some serious training.

8 – 9 March 2017 – Vilanova Park, Vilanova, Barcelona

Arrived 11.00. Good journey up. Booked in, put on a non-sunny pitch but moving to better one tomorrow. Had a meal in restaurant with our friends Linda and Steve. Had a good walk in the hills this morning, hoping to get back to running once we have settled down. Had a walk around the site looking for Chrissy and Roberto but not here. Eurocamp have started building their tents for the summer season.

27 – 28 February  2017 – Camping Coll Vert, Valencia

Good drive up from Santa Pola, arrived about 11.00. Bikes out and off for a cycle into Valencia for a Costa coffee. Next day the same but better weather and different route, but good cycle paths all the way.

1 – 8 March 2017 – Camping Bonterra Park, Benicassim

Arrived about 10.00 after a good journey. Managed to get the same sunny pitch we had earlier in the year. Both now running so lots of exercise with cycling, walking in the hills and beach running. Managed 2 cycles along old railway line to Oropesa and a cycle to Castellon. We left this site 6 weeks ago with people with bad colds and they still have them when we arrived back??? Leave in the morning for the Barcelona area for a few weeks.

16  February 2017 Camping Bahia Santa Pola

Mixed in this posts are a few pictures to make you giggle as I have just found the drawing App on my phone He He

Arrived early got a pitch and then our usual walkabout. Next day the Spanish arrived and did there usual partying until 0100 in the morning so asked to move pitches then got a great pitch higher up the site in among the Swedish and Fins.

Bus to Alicante had a good walkabout again in areas new to us a good day.

Some washing then Paul and Patsy picked us up and we went to the motorhome show at Alicante Airport then into Alicante for lunch. Picked a bad restaurant this time Restaurant Palmitas not good at All a complete waste of money. We probably picked it so we could sit outside so that we didn’t get locked in this time!!!!

Started to get rid of our colds Maureen running well and we have both started cycling again with a good cycle up to Gran Alicant and a 3 hour cycle down to Family in Rojales.

Had a lovely Saturday with family down at their house with a great curry feast and cheese cake. And saw our first fire in a house for years!

Washed the van here 3 times as it turns a red sandy colour every time it rains.

Leaving here tomorrow heading north.
