Walked into Seahouses along the beach and back followed by lots of beach combing.
Walked down to the harbour at Beadnell bay then cycled into Bambrurgh again for a coffee.

Up early and a walk down to Beadnell harbour then back to the site for a cycle up to Bamburgh via Seahouses. Stopped at the copper kettle for a coffee shame they still don’t do bacon butties.

Only a short drive so had another walk along Spittal Beach before heading off to Beadnell. Lovely sunny weather so after lunch had a walk along the beach. Had the most enormous fish and chips from the Beach Cafe on the campsite. We couldn’t eat it all.

Found another cod bottle marble this time on the east coast we also found a small headless figure, last year we found a head on the beach (pot one).

Good journey down to Berwick arrived and had a walk about booked our bikes in for a service tomorrow morning. had a walk on the Spittal beach.

Everything going great guns. Up early to get the bikes to Berwick Bikes arriving at 0830 walk out to the end of the pier then round the walls of Berwick coffee at Costa and then the bikes are ready 1030 so a cycle along Spittal promenade, dinner then washing then another walk on Spittal beach a good day. Bike cost 2X service £63 our last service in Keswick on a 1 year old bike (Maureen’s) £100 ?
Up into Edinburgh early this morning to watch the marathon race 30,000 runners here for the weekend of running fun. Coffee and a walkabout on Princess Street.
Lovely stroll along the beach this evening our unusual finds tonight were a red snooker ball and a porthole (it was actually a toilet seat).
Cycle on route 1 from Cramond to Edinburgh for a Starbuck coffee. After lunch bus into town then up to see the Greyfriars Bobby, castle and Grassmarket area, coffee again Costa this time.
Just about caught up with all our friends, managing to get a bit fitter with a few good hill runs. Went to watch Buttermere Sailbeck race and we knew a lot more runners in this one. Starting to get ready to move with lots of campsites booked for a summer trip to (watch this space).

Had a few days sorting the van out buying new storage boxes and moving around for easy access. Larigg Fell Race this evening so walked up the fell to watch still lots of runners we know well done to them all.

Still running and catching up with all our friends, met one on the hills when we were running then another two while out cycling in Borrowdale. Called in at Grasmere to look at Wordsworths’ graves not such a good idea looking at graves at my age !!!!
Called in to see a friend who owns a CL camping site to look at her new shepherds hut FAB keep an eye open when driving from Grasmere to Keswick just before the turn off to St Johns in the Vale. (Stybeck Farm)

Rest day from exercise pulse rates up, so got the bikes out and cleaned them then off down Borrowdale to pay my running club subs. Maybe one day I may win a race again Ho ho ? Called in at Borrowdale church to see Bob Graham’s gravestone. Caught up with more friends a good day.

Steady journey up to Keswick. Arrived 1.00 pm, hooked up, had lunch, then went to pick up the car. Here for a short while catching up with lots of friends and then on we will go again.

Lots of walking over the last few days and a run along side Derwentwater (lovely to be back)
Good journey up from Stratford on Avon. Arrived Southport and first job some laundy, then a lovely hot shower (after cold showers at Stratford). Good weather so had a lovely walk along the seafront to the pier and into town for a coffee.
Pitched up site very quiet caught the ferry boat into town. In the evening decided to eat in the restaurant as it was OK last time, BIG mistake new management !!!! Fish n chips M had 2 egg chips and Honey ham £24 asked for large chips got french fries mushy peas cold and a compulsory service charge Never again, I think this site has now reached its sell by date and we will find another next time in the area. Shower the coldest since Morocco 4 years ago. And we do an average of 70 campsites a year ??!!

Caught the first ferry into town (Usually 2 an hour) as it is raining we decided to go the the cinema to See the new Avengers film GREAT. Lovely cinema with reclining seats. Came back to catch the ferry and had to wait 45 mins. as they had reduced the service to 1 an hour while we were in town…. we don’t seem to be having a good time here SO CAMPERS BEWARE at Riverside.

Last day here before we move north again, Maureen bumped into a friend from Harrogate in town this morning. To Finnish on a positive note about this campsite the 3 boatmen on the ferries to town are Fab well done to them.
Wow had a walk up to the Car boot sale at Cheddar ! never seen one as big as this and a local said wait while summer to see how BIG it gets oh! and leave town before 1100 if you need to go some place. Moving day going north a bit.
Great journey up to Cheltenham great campsite Adults Only. Bus into Cheltenham and walk about. The picture above is the clock in the Regents Shopping Arcade plays I’am forever blowing bubbles and Bubbles come out of the fishes mouth when the clock chimes the hour (Cute)
