Good journey up from Weston Super Mare. Arrived 12.30, booked in, had lunch then caught the little river ferry into town for a coffee. Over the 3 days did our usual things,
Maureen had a couple of runs to the Obelisk, first night had a meal in the campsite restaurant.
Our second visit here this year after returning from St. Ives. Plenty of walk-abouts and bus journeys visiting Torquay, Paignton, Brixham and Cockington.
Cockington
Went up to the bar and entertainment whilst here – not as good as it used to be.
Longer journey down than anticipated with heavy traffic. Arrived after lunch, walked into town to see the first of the family, Barbara and Paul, and had a walk-about. Next day Maureen had a run to the Knill monument, twice, to put distance in, Darian walked up. Lovely display of flowers up there.
Caught the campsite bus into town to meet up with everyone to go for a meal in the evening.
Walk to Carbis Bay for coffee Sunday morning then back into town for the Food Market on Porthminster Beach – just our cup of tea so to speak, yum yum.
Minack Theatre
Monday morning Sandra and Peter picked us up to go out for the day. Went to see the Minack Theatre which was amazing. Also looked around the Telegraph Museum which was really interesting then onto Mousehole for lunch. Sandra, who loves following our travels, tried to impress us hoping for a job with ‘Get You Lost Tours’ took us down a path into someone’s garden! Sorry Sandra not good enough, that is not lost enough. Thanks for a lovely day.
Good journey down. Called into The Willows shopping centre for food at Sainsbury’s and some clothes shopping at M & S. After we had booked in caught the bus into Torquay for a look around.
Wow
Maureen had a run on the 6th down to Goodrington Sands, after lunch caught the bus to Brixham. 7th decided to drive through to Plymouth via Kingsbridge.
Good stay in Brighton but we moved on to Highlands End campsite via Southdown Motorhomes to have a new rear garage door fitted a break of 1 1/2 hours in our journey down.
Arrived after lunch and just relaxed after a 5 hour journey. Had a meal in campsite restaurant and then an early night.

Went for a run up to the Beacon, Darian ran all the way back with me. After lunch walked down to West Bay for an icecream. Walk down to the beach after tea.
Long journey from Rives du Lac plenty of stops and still arrived for an earlier train good drive down to Brighton.
27 – 28 – 29th April Brighton Campsite
Brighton campsite from the Downs
Usual walk about here pictures Fast and Furious 8 / Beauty and the Beast Maureen running al over the place and Cycle if the wind drops.. Lots of Costa coffee so much better here than Spain. I think the rule is drink Starbucks when abroad. Enjoying different food Cornish pasty’s and Roast chicken. Planning our trip down to St Ives.
Lovely day for travelling, sunshine all the way. As usual with this campsite it closes for a 2 hour lunch break and we always arrive too late, so we drove to the supermarket, Leclerc, and it was closed even longer for lunch so in desperation visited a nearby boulangerie we knew about and treated ourselves to a lovely cake to die for. Problem solved. The lake for a change has some water in so we had a couple of walks down to it.
43 minutes only today along the back roads through the vineyards. Booked in and then walked into the town along the river. Not much to the town but looked around the cathedral.
Chalon sur Saone
Back to the campsite for lunch and a laze about in the sun. After we had got into bed this evening the weirdest music ever started up, a single toy drum accompanied by some one trying to get their foot out of a bear trap. How odd!! The good thing is it only lasted 3 hours and ended up with fireworks, or could have been the singer getting blown up.
Next day into town again to look around the Sunday market, other than that the town was dead, not a patch on Beaune.
