Cycle down to Hove for a coffee then a walk round the Brighton Marina.
17 March 2022 Brighton
Lovely day today so we decided to cycle down to Shoreham past the docks and over the lock gates a good route. In the afternoon cycle along the other way under the cliffs. Then back for a washing day and a sit in the sun FAB.
The wardens are having new toilet kitchen facilities fitted on their pitches Toilet, Bath and shower!
Moving day today so we had a short cycle into Chichester before we left the site. These two guys guarded the bikes while I got the coffee.
Some shopping on the way up 2 Brighton, the ASDA stores were out of fuel probably due to its cheapness but all the other petrol stations OK. Spotted on the road outside the campsite? Picture below.
Today is what we call an interesting day we tend to use the word interesting to replace what would be described as foul language. We drove the van down to Southdown motorhomes for a repair to the rear bumper (a 6 hour job) The part has been at the workshop for two years and due to Covid this is the first time we have been able to get there.
Scrap metal thing Salisbury
We dropped the van off hired a car and drove to Salisbury on arrival the phone ran and it was Southdowns informing us they had the wrong part and could not do the repair? (intereasting).
Somebody has lost a button
We carried on with our day also visiting Winchester and Southsea at Portsmouth after driving through a clean air zone we checked on the Goverment website for charges we then realised why the rental car was displaying odd things to us (like Sailing) it was a Kia Rio 3 mhev Hybrid electric.

Forgot to mention yesterday I got a puncture but lucky me I was only a couple of hundred yards from a bike shop so replaced my tube. Today cycle round our usual route into town this makes the trip 1 ½ hr into town but so lovely. Farmers market? After lunch cycle down to The Quay again as I noticed a black swan in the morning and wanted a picture.
The black swan (Cygnus atratus) is a large waterbird, a species of swan which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia. Within Australia, the black swan is nomadic, with erratic migration patterns dependent upon climatic conditions. It is a large bird with mostly black plumage and a red bill.
Cycle into Poole very windy so not more than 2 hour cycle today spotted the new rope work sculpture being put together.
